Ethics in Journalism

There is a big question of how ethics play into Journalism.
Questions like what can be put into a news piece and if the company you write for is going to be sued for libel or slander.
Or if a journalist is bias to a topic, this could be included into what makes a good journalist.
Ethics plays a big key into what can be published into a broadcast, newspaper or magazine.

  1. Hi Braden,
I am posting some ideas for you as part of our homework RJA#4c. (It has taken me a LONG time to figure out how to make comments....I guess I forgot!)

Anyway, my suggestion to you is to look at who owns the journalism source (tv news, magazine, newspaper, etc), and based on who owns them, and what the interests are of the owner, and how the journalists tend to "lean" in their reporting methods and information. (I hope that makes sense).
And, I hope I am doing the Homework correctly. We will soon see!
